
Cliqz by Triller

01 Brief
In the wake of the growing creator economy, the Amplify.ai team developed an innovative new product called Cliqz to help creators influencers, and really anyone with a large social following to directly connect with their audience through chat.
With the backend ready for testing we were in need of the front end flow for fans to sign up, as well as a landing page to show case and communicate the benefits of Cliqz to creators.

02 Challenge
The challenge was to properly distill what Cliqz could do for a creator ( grow direct audience, broadcast, sell products, partnerships, events) while not overwhelming them, and making sure it felt simple enough to dive in and give it a try.
This same challenge applied to the onboard flow for fans as we wanted to maintain trust and the feeling that they were connecting directly with the creator/influencer.

03 Discovery
I worked closely with the team at Amplify.ai to discern thoughts & ways of talking about Cliqz and it’s benefits. This process was a series of word docs with thoughts, ideas, and examples, which we would then send for feedback from the broader team and continue to refine from there.
We also had the benefit of working closely with Charli and Dixie d’Amelio who signed on for launch. Through their massive reach we were able to text messaging and features, while also getting real-time results and learnings. This proved invaluble i honing in on Cliqz’s strengths and key benefits.

04 Solution
Based on the needs of our team and partners I started by outlining the design system in Figma, I then worked to flush out each section based on level of importance. A design system is something that can and should (in my opinion) evolve, so I wanted to get the basics in place and then build out the rest with the help of the team.
In each section, like logo’s for example I looked at all the possibilities of sizes and needs and created variants for the designer to choose from without having to go use a different asset each time.
Digital components speaks for itself, but again there I worked to add in various colors and/or states for each asset.
The onboarding flow was created to feel native to iOS and feel like you are really saving the contact of the influencer. This was an intentional choice to build trust and connection between the creator and their audience.
05 Launch
During launch I worked closely with the dev team to customize onboarding experiences for creators & ensure proper functionality.
05 Results & Reflection
Cliqz has been such an insightful endeavor for the Amplify.ai team, and I am grateful to have been a part of it.
The results far exceeded our expectations with open rates on texts & broadcasts at 95% which is an absolutely huge number. This truly indicates the power of a direct relationship with your audience can create.
With the website launch in particular I learned the power of iteration and almost continuous feedback and how that cycle truly improves products but also messaging. I also learned (again) that particularly with the creator community on apps like Triller & TikTok it’s more about authenticity than it is perfection.
